This is currently the top of the range coloured pencil from the Swiss manufacturer Caran d'Ache. Their main aim in designing this new pencil was to ensure that their new pencil had the very best lightfastness and resistance to any fading. They achieved the ASTM F-6901 Swiss standard which is the highest standard of lightfastness available, and they called their new pencil 6901.
